The 12-Piece 3/8 in. Drive SAE Universal Socket Set features high torque drives which limits the amount of wear on the corners of the fastener and the socket. It also improves the strength of the socket and transfers increased torque to the fastener and allows easier access to tight areas. The high torque drive of these sockets provides increased strength through the transfer of pressure from the thinnest part of the socket wall toward the thicker section.
